Who Is Caris Snider?
Hey Everybody! I am so glad that you have found your way here. I am a lot like many of you...I have my good days and I have bad days too. I have had some pretty dark days as well. I don't know what type of day you are having, but just know that many of us have been where you are, and there is hope to make it out.
To answer the above question, "Who is Caris Snider?", is a tough one. I am still trying to figure all of that out haha! I have been married to my husband, Brandon Snider, since April of 2004. We have two beautiful daughters. Zoe is 9 and Allye Grace is 5. We just got a fur child in December of this year. His name is Cooper...Cooper Hashbrown to be exact, and he is a Mini Goldendoodle.
I love to sing and lead worship and also speaking to women and young girls. Sharing my heart and my passions in helping others find the hope that I once needed is kind of a big deal to me. I also love doing a podcast with a wonderful friend of mine, Amanda Middleton. The Podcast is titled The PurposeFULL Woman, which you can listen to right here on my website!
I don't get a lot of free time, anybody else relate to that? When I do, we love traveling! We especially love traveling to Disney World!
My story is long and still growing like all of yours. It will probably require its on little section on here. I will say this....depression, I have been there....anxiety, yep, there too....fear, pain, shame, failure, being told you are not enough, feeling not enough, wanting to leave this world, wondering if I had let God down, feeling hopeless, worthless, purposeless...all those things are in my story. I would guess that some of those things are in your story.
So that is why this website, this blog, everything you find here is here. I want to help and share and let you know that it is ok to take the mask down and be real. We are all real women and girls with real struggles so let's share them together and share together in our journey.
Yes we do have real struggles, but there is real hope too and I have experience that hope. God is with you today where you are and He has somewhere special to take you on your journey. He has something unique for you to do.
So, we are going to do those unique things together. We are going to wait on Him, trust Him, cry out to Him together. It is time to come out of the miry clay and sing a NEW song friends.
A scripture that I will leave you with that helped me in my dark time is this:
I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And He has put a new song in my mouth, a praise unto our God.
Many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.
